"Five must be VH1’s magic number. That is the number of honorees for their fifth annual VH1 Hip Hop Honors, which will be executive-produced by Nelson George and, Fab 5 Freddy. The celebrated show will be premiering on VH1 and VH1 Soul on October 7 at 10 p.m.
Comedian Tracy Morgan will return as the host, helping contemporary hip hop acts to pay their dues to West Coast legends, Cypress Hill and Too $hort, Native Tongue stalwarts, De La Soul, East Coast pioneer Slick Rick, and the New Jersey underdogs-turned-superstars, Naughty By Nature."
